Hair Hair, Long beautiful Hair....

Nothing terribly creative here, which I attribute to my own lack of hair :-)  But it was still a fun subject...
Thanks Lynn

Played around with some neon effects in Picasa

A bowl of rollers, combs etc, and what is left of a halloween Wig,
again with Picasa providing the effects

A late addition for Lynn, number one without Picasa

Here's one for Joanne

#26 Coffee, Tea, or Steam :-)

I just loved this assignment....It was one of those I threw away 20 pictures for everyone I kept, and everyone I kept, the more I looked at it, I wished I'd have done something a little different, more light on the cup, less light on the steam, less steam, more steam, it never ended, but I really had fun with it....I hope you enjoy these as much as I enjoyed taking them, and I'm really looking forward to see the others so I can get ideas where to improve on my efforts...

#1  This was my first attempt at work with my iPhone.
the steam was a burning piece of paper in my coffee cup.....lol

#2  was an attempt at using string to make the steam...I must have taken two dozen of these and was never completely satisfied

 #3  is real steam....that was a novel idea...LOL  my
biggest problem here was not getting too much steam
taken with Nikon D70S  @f/5.6  ss 8sec

#4  same as three but with longer exposure

#5   same as 3 and 4 but with 12 second exposure and f/11

#6  8 seconds at f/11  using a flashlight to light the stream as I poured into the cup

#7  identical to #6 but I held the light on the cup longer

#8 I cut the exposure down to 5 and opened the f stop to 5.6
All the actual Steam shots were taken by boiling either water or coffee, and pouring into
cups that had been in the refrigerator all afternoon...

#25 Faces around the house

This kind of puzzled me a bit, then my wife said come look at this. The result was #1 and after that I was able to see a few more items...
#1  takes some imagination, actually I think they all do....lol
the very top, eyebrows, second row  eyes, third row, nose and the bottom row a handle bar mustache

#2  a little more self explanatory, big round eyes, long nose, and skinny mouth!!!

Ok, ok, #3 I cheated and used Burr's example of an electrical outlet,
but added a touch of Picasa neon effect

#4 A rebirth of an old subject from a much earlier assignment, but he does have a face :-)

#5 A plaque I have on my dresser...The figure in the upper left is called Jake,
He's the mascot of the Corvette racing team, and as you see, the Corvette emblem is part of his face

#6 Speaking of Corvettes, I see eyes, nose and a mouth.....this is  model of course

#7 Obviously not taken recently but I felt like posting the face of the "real" one :-)

My intention was to get all outside shots but it was too cold so I moved inside for a few "fun" shots, and I found I really enjoyed all the experimenting...Great assignment, I enjoy night time Photography!!!
These were all taken with my Nikon D7000 and Nikor 18-105mm lens in Bulb with various f stops
