#24 Night Shots

My intention was to get all outside shots but it was too cold so I moved inside for a few "fun" shots, and I found I really enjoyed all the experimenting...Great assignment, I enjoy night time Photography!!!
These were all taken with my Nikon D7000 and Nikor 18-105mm lens in Bulb with various f stops

    I just loved the night 'painting' shots!! I want to try more of that!
    I also really like #7 where you captured the snow falling! Nice!.....not the snow, the shot!

    All your light painting shots are fun! and #7 looks like it could be in an architectural magazine! My fave is #7 - how did you light it?

      Thanks Joanne, I just used my flash and shot that at 1/60 f/, standard settings.....I took that shot last night when it started snowing and hadn't planned on even adding it to the blog but I figured what the heck....

    These were all very creative I should have tried some indoor shots because it was soo cold out. I liked 1 the best, very interesting.

    I like the neighborhood shots Mark, and my fav would be the flash stopping the snow.
    When you used bulb on the first ones, did you lock it open or did someone hold the shutter button.
    I set mine for 30 sec which gave me plenty of time to do something. I couldn't figure out how to lock it open on bulb.

      I locked it open Burr... I have a remote that works by pressing once to open,and then it stays open till you push the button again... Makes it real convenient to play around with. I was able to push the remote while I was in position and push it again when I was finished.....

    i like #6 best, the colors are very cool in temperature. also like the painting i need to do this very soon. i too had fun with this one and love lights at night

    Mark, I loved the persistence of vision, the motion of light- very interesting with both the flashlight and the traffic lights. I also like the last shot and the way you captured the snow- a beautiful winter landscape- nice composition!
