  1. Every one of these is a winner - as usual Mark. Wow, you've been a busy boy these past 2 weeks. I enjoyed the composition of each one...something I really need to work on for my future assignments. Great job!

    1. Thanks Lynn, I enjoyed this challenge, it got me out and about.....I'd been wanting to photograph the Detroit train station for some time and this was a perfect excuse to do so....and we love St Mary's Church in Greektown....

  2. Love them all - you hit al home run on every single photo! Of course the b&w of Mary stole my heart with the beautiful lighting! (I love old churches). The train depot with all the flowers and tall grass is perfect! And I love old Jaguars, and then there is the moon (I aspire to get a photo of the moon in my lifetime). You set the mark a bit higher for all of us to be better photographers!

    1. WOW, thanks Joanne, what nice things to say, but honestly, all these challenges I think is what helps all of us... Especially challenges like this that make us get out of that safety zone and try to get creative. We actually have to think more about our pictures, and what we are doing. Glad you enjoyed the moon picture. I've tried so long and hard to get a good shot of the moon and they normally turn out too light, too dark, too distant, so I was pleased with that one. I took it the night of the strawberry moon, so from that standpoint it wasn't a very good picture since I missed the strawberry part :-(

  3. BUBBLES-good focus-I couldn't get mine sharp
B/W--good contrast in church-love the steeples perspective
GROUND shot-they have this thing called leading lines in photos--this is it with the road leading to the church. We should do a challenge on that concept.
TRAIN STATION--I love this place. I was there long time ago and took pictures. I want to get a shot from the 12th floor of Henry Ford Hospital of it and the bridge behind it. My x-next door neighbor is putting in the windows right now. BTW these are excellent shots. Good lens to get the plants and building in focus. Wide angle obviously.
    They were all good.

    1. Thanks Burr. I love the train station also, I can remember taking a train from there and also dropping my sister in law off to catch a train. It was a much different scene then.

  4. your bubbles was my favorite - great choice of the DOF - a good balance of 'in focus' and 'out of focus'... and St Marys - perfect choice for the B&W - great perspective of the 'shades of grey'.... and the 2nd train station shot MUCH better than the first - the sidewalk lined by the plantings just guided one in.... great job1
