My apologies for being late, I completely let this deadline slip away...I've been taking pictures for the past two weeks yet for some reason I didn't remember to post them....
#1
I've been playing around with some night time Christmas shots and thought Santa
sitting in his sleigh would make a nice shot
#2
Also a nice shot of the fireplace, chair and tree
#3
then a few shots taken with my Iphone
#4
This and the one above were taken with my Iphone at Max and Erma's, a restaurant

#4
all the following pictures were also taken with my Iphone at Partridge Creek,
I just thought these seats looked kind of neat

Looking Up

Looking UP
Let me begin by making my excuses......my good camera (NikonD7000) died while on vacation last week, but not to worry I took numerous pictures with my Iphone and concentrated on getting some shots of things I noticed while looking up. I had several that I thought  interesting, birds, contrails, spiders, etc... BUT, not to be outdone by my Nikon breaking, my Iphone went swimming with me and all those pictures were lost, as well as the operation of the iphone. Not wanting to miss another week I used my point and shoot and Ipad in a an attempt to complete the assignment. So not very inspiring, but here are my submissions....oh yea, I also managed to delete this weeks instructions so I'm only guessing at what I was supposed to do.....LOL I promise to play better on the next assignement as my new camera arrivied yesterday so I'll be looking forward to playing with it..

#1
This was taken in Jamaica looking up through a rain forest. It was taken with my Nikon point and shoot on Auto

#2
Also taken in the same rain forest looking up directly into the sky also with my point and shoot.

#3 and #4
Taken at night(duh) with my Ipad looking up on the Disney Magic at the radio room. The picture below it was taken during the day as was one of the last pictures taken with my D7000 before it broke. That was where I got the idea of the antenna and rigging pictures. Unfortunately I wasn't able to play around with that idea as much as I'd hoped.

#5
This was the cieling and light fixtures in the main atrium of the ship, also taken with my point and shoot..

Challenge 2 Attempting to show, or stop motion

My reason for choosing this Challenge was to give me more experience with taking action shots and hopefully get some good ideas from all of you....

#1
I chose this shot because I thought it showed the batters action , plus it caught the ball sitting  in the catchers glove :-)
Shot at 1/1600 f/4.5 ISO 640 82mm focal setting

#2
Another Batter, same results..  Swing and a miss. Notice the ball, my intent was to get the ball in mid air, this time it worked.
 Shot at 70mm focal length, 1/1600  f/4.5  ISO 640
#3
Attempted Steal....and he's SAFE!!!!
165mm Focal Length, 1/1600, f/5   ISO 640
#4
I was thrilled to catch this player in mid-air as she cleared the goalie
277mm Focal Length, 1/2500, f/5.6  ISO 640
#5
What I tried to do here was show the car was obviously moving. The purpose was to show background movement and get the car as clear as possible, except to have the wheels appear to be rotating.. I wasn't thrilled with the focus of the car, but I hope you appreciate what I was attempting.
62mm Focal length, 1/50, f/36, ISO 640
#6
Unlike the above picture, I held the camera steady and allowed the subject to pass thru the frame. In #5 I attempted to follow the subject with the camera therby blurring the background.
34mm focal length, 1/40, f29, ISO 640
#7
 Just because it's my granddaughter :-) I know I said 5 pictures but I couldn't stop ...LOL
220mm focal length, 1/1250, f/9, ISO 640
