My reason for choosing this Challenge was to give me more experience with taking action shots and hopefully get some good ideas from all of you....
#1
I chose this shot because I thought it showed the batters action , plus it caught the ball sitting in the catchers glove :-)
Shot at 1/1600 f/4.5 ISO 640 82mm focal setting
#2
Another Batter, same results.. Swing and a miss. Notice the ball, my intent was to get the ball in mid air, this time it worked.
Shot at 70mm focal length, 1/1600 f/4.5 ISO 640
#3
Attempted Steal....and he's SAFE!!!!
165mm Focal Length, 1/1600, f/5 ISO 640
#4
I was thrilled to catch this player in mid-air as she cleared the goalie
277mm Focal Length, 1/2500, f/5.6 ISO 640
#5
What I tried to do here was show the car was obviously moving. The purpose was to show background movement and get the car as clear as possible, except to have the wheels appear to be rotating.. I wasn't thrilled with the focus of the car, but I hope you appreciate what I was attempting.
62mm Focal length, 1/50, f/36, ISO 640
#6
Unlike the above picture, I held the camera steady and allowed the subject to pass thru the frame. In #5 I attempted to follow the subject with the camera therby blurring the background.
34mm focal length, 1/40, f29, ISO 640
#7
Just because it's my granddaughter :-) I know I said 5 pictures but I couldn't stop ...LOL
220mm focal length, 1/1250, f/9, ISO 640
